Dance Fitness Class in Stroud

ChiChi Fit in Stroud

Did you used to dance? Or act? Or sing in the school show?

Or never did — but still get swept up by a big number in a theatre? The lights, the story, the bit where everyone joins in at the end?

ChiChi Fit is dance fitness set to musical theatre. Big soundtracks, big arm movements, the occasional prop, and 45 minutes of doing something you possibly haven’t done since you were seventeen – or never got the chance to do at all.

No steps to learn. No mirrors. No auditions. No wrong steps.

It’s a bit like singing in the shower: full commitment, no audience, and nobody minding how it sounds. Freestyle it. Bring your own sparkle.

Mondays 19:30 · Thursdays 17:40 · Fridays 9:40 · 45 minutes

🎟️ Get a Golden Ticket: 2 classes for £8. Available until 30 Sept.

Golden Ticket Offer

The Golden Ticket — two ChiChi Fit classes for £8. That’s what one class normally costs. Come twice yourself, or bring a friend and use them together. In class, we’ll be warming up to the track ” I’ve got a Golden Ticket” from Willy Wonka.

On sale until 30 September, and you’ve got a month to use it on any of our ChiChi Fit classes.

This is what a class looks like

This video from ChiChi Fit’s national danceathon in March. More than 100 people from across the UK danced to 50 tracks from musicals from Disney, Hollywood, Broadway and the West End – old and new.

The music is the point

The playlist isn’t background. It’s a mix — classic musicals, newer ones, Hollywood movies, and a bit of Disney, old and new.

Routines change every few weeks, time to get familiar and add some flare but also you’re never stuck with one you don’t much like. And some of them you’ll enjoy purely because you haven’t heard the song in years.

Most of the songs are uplifting, empowering or about resilience — striving, keeping going, coming out the other side — and a good few will be ones you already love. Across 45 minutes you get taken somewhere, which is not something most exercise classes can offer.

Sing along if you want to. The sound system is loud enough that nobody can hear you.

And if you need to stop, take a rest. Sit down and enjoy the show for a bit, or take the class from a chair. Nobody minds and nobody’s counting

What it's actually like

Five ChiChi Fit class members in bright vests standing arm in arm, smiling after a class.

Dance fitness, done properly badly. You follow along, you get some of it, you miss some of it, and none of that matters — because the point isn’t precision, it’s moving and enjoying it.

Every body welcome. Every step optional.

If you’d rather stay near the back for the first few weeks, that’s completely fine. Most people do. Plenty of people never move forward and have a great time anyway.

Class Bookings & Prices

Book online or call. You are welcome to just come along, but we may not have space.

Book and attend classes around your schedule — no terms, no blocks. Any ChiChi Fit packs work for any ChiChi Fit class, Monday, Thursday or Friday.

The Difference Here

I’m an osteopath (registered health professional) as well as an instructor. So if you’re not sure whether something’s a good idea, or you’ve got a niggle you’re worried about making worse, you can just ask. No appointment, no fuss, no big conversation about it.

Most people never need to. But knowing you could is often the thing that gets someone through the door in the first place.

What it isn’t is an appointment — no history, no examination, nothing built around you. If that’s what you need, I’ll say so. If you have an injury, or  you’re unsure if the class is right for you book a free Start Here service first.

If standing for a whole class isn't realistic

You can rest, or use a chair for part of the class. But you’d prefer more chair based options- I’m working on a chair-only version, so that you’re not excluded from the room.

I don’t have a date yet. If you’d like me to tell you when it’s running, put your email in below and I’ll email you once — that’s it, unless you ask for more.

Arbour Clinic will use your email only for what you’ve ticked. We won’t fill up your inbox, and we never share or sell your data. Ever. See our Privacy policy.

Can't make class, or having a bad day

Cancel with at least 8 hours’ notice and the credit goes straight back on you so you can rebook. The expiry date on the pass stays where it is, rebook when you’re ready.

Less than 8 hours, or a missed class, and the credit is used up. There’s no penalty fee on top — it’s just the class you

If there’s an exceptional reason, get in touch, and we can look at returning your credit.

And on a rough day, coming and doing less is can be better than not coming. We offer levels, or you can rest or use a chair. Nobody minds what you do or don’t do.

Working around an injury, ongoing pain, or a health condition?

A free Start Here conversation first is usually the better order – a free call or guidance session (online or in the clinic). I’ll tell you honestly whether a class is the right starting point, any adaptations you can use in class or whether something else would serve you better.

Before your first class

Please book online rather than turning up — it’s the only way I know you’re coming, and it means there’s a spot for you.

First time, there’s a short form: your details, a few health questions, the cancellation policy and a waiver. Two minutes, and it’s a one-off. Please do it before you come. If the online version won’t play ball, arrive ten minutes early and we’ll sort it at the studio.

Trouble booking? Call the clinic on 07853 442821, or email hello@arbourclinic.co.uk.

Yes — ChiChi Fit at Britannia Dance Studio, three times a week. It’s dance fitness set to show tunes and big soundtracks, with no steps to learn and no auditions. Popular with people who used to dance, act or sing and haven’t for years, and with people who simply love a big show.

No, and most people can’t. There are no steps to learn and nothing to get right. You follow along, you get some of it and miss some of it, and that’s what it looks like for everyone in the room.

Yes. Every move has a smaller version, you can stop whenever you want, and plenty of people spend the first few weeks near the back doing about half of it. Nobody is watching, and there’s no level you need to arrive at.

Yes to both. It’s a mixed class with no experience required and no age limit, and people take it at whatever pace suits them. If you’d rather see what it looks like before booking, ChiChi Fit have plenty of class footage online.

You sit out part of the class and join in from a chair.

A chair-adapted version is in the works, though there’s no date yet. Put your email in the box on this page and I’ll let you know when it’s running — one email, nothing else unless you ask.

Whatever you can move in, and trainers. Bring water. That’s genuinely it!

I’ll provide any props and fitness bands.

Please book online — it’s the only way we know you’re coming, and it means there’s a spot for you. If you have trouble booking, call the clinic on 07853 442821, and my friendly reception team can book your spot.

You can just turn up, but you may not be able to join if there’s no space.

You’ll get a short form when you book — your details, a few health questions, the cancellation policy and a waiver. Two minutes, and it’s a one-off. After that, you turn up, find a spot, and join in as much or as little as you like.

Yes. Classes aren’t term-time only — they run most weeks of the year, half terms and summer included. There are a few weeks off when I’m away and breaks over Easter, Christmas and New Year, always announced in advance.

No. There are no terms and no blocks — classes run most weeks and you come when you can. If you buy a pack, it isn’t a run of consecutive weeks: miss one and you haven’t lost it, as long as you use your classes within the pack’s validity. Any pack works for any ChiChi Fit class, so you’re not tied to a particular day either.

Buy it under Packages when you book online, and buy it before you book your classes — booking a class on its own charges the standard pay-as-you-go price. Once the package is on your account, the classes you book come off it automatically.

ChiChi Fit is dance fitness — faster, louder, and about enjoying yourself. Pilates is slower and more controlled, focused on strength, mobility and balance. They’re different packages, so you can do one, the other, or both. On Fridays they run back to back if you fancy making a morning of it.

I'm your ChiChi Fit Instructor

I’m Kerri Holden. I’m an osteopath and a Pilates instructor, and I teach ChiChi Fit because dancing is the thing that got me through a science degree and never quite left.

Most of my week is spent helping people move more comfortably. This class is the other half of that — no assessment, no plan, nothing to work on. Just moving, because it’s good for you and because it’s fun.

At the clinic in Brimscombe, or online. No obligation to book anything afterwards.
